About MassageLuxe®
MassageLuxe® is proud to be the fastest growing franchise company providing massage services and related products to our clients, principally through a national Area Developer and a Franchise organization. Our salon revenue model is driven by a “membership” revenue model, assuring a substantially higher level of consistency to salon revenues and profit on a year round basis. While this concept is relatively new to the franchise marketplace, massage as a service that improves health, promotes relaxation and overall well being for the consumer has been practiced throughout the world for thousands of years. However, from a historical standpoint, the delivery of these services has been extraordinarily fragmented with the quality of those services varying dramatically. MassageLuxe® is focused on being the premier provider of the
services to clients in every marketplace we provide service. The company expects to have 400 franchise units, through a national Area Development organization, in operation or in development by the end of 2012.
It is important to note that two established organizations with outstanding salon and franchising credentials, The Tan Company (including certain affiliates), a pioneer and leader in membership based salon services, is the principal stakeholders in the proposed business at this time. The involvement of this established franchisor and its partners and key vendors can be shown to create significant advantages in the development, launch, leadership and growth of this business.
About the Industry
Massage continues to grow for a variety of health and wellness reasons. MassageLuxe® is responding to an unprecedented demand for service with a superior offering for our clients.
According to a recent Forbes.com article: “Your Health: Hottest Massage Trends”:
Results show baby boomers using massage as an overall wellness component.
“In its 11th annual survey of American consumers, the American Massage Therapy Association found that more people get massage therapy for medical purposes than for relaxation, with baby boomers leading the way. The goal of a better quality of life and overall wellness drove 24 percent of adult Americans to receive a massage in the past 12 months, with more than a third (34 percent) receiving a massage in the past five years.” This still means that a while there is a substantial number of regular massage customers, a substantial number of American have never had a massage or are not regular massage users.
